He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Wilshire Jarrett and Dr. William Mitchell Jarrett; and his brother William Mitchell Jarrett II. He is survived by: his significant other Vicky Foley; his children, Jordan Jarrett (Megan Borak) and Allison Jarrett Zegeer (Andrew Zegeer); and his grandsons, John McCarus Zegeer (David Warren Zegeer) and Wrangler (Lapua).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Beckley Area Foundation.
