He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny C. Lester and Betty Jo Waltz Lester; and his sister Tammy Lester. He is survived by: his daughter Santana Leser Mayle of Bluefield; his former wife Carol Kipfinger; and his brother Ricky Lester.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
