She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Walker and Ruby Halstead Walker; her husband James Short (Buck); and her sister Bernice Walker Grose. She is survived by: her nieces, Beckie Jones (Gary) of Cool Ridge and Ruth Link (John) of Shady Spring. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, and many church friends.
