He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelson Bays and Erma Bays; and his brother Steve Bays. He is survived by: his daughters, Natasha Dillon (Derrick) of Culloden and Katie Hicks (Joseph) of Hurricane; his grandchildren, Amya, Alexis, Summer, Wyatt and Kensley; and his siblings, Tim Bays of Delano, CA. and Vennesa Chatterson St. Albans.
