She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin A. Grant and Vonda I. Washington Grant; her husband Arnie Persinger Jr.; her daughter Lisa A.; her son-in-law Greg Sowards; her granddaughter Kathy Jo Sowards; her great grandchild Hunter; and her sisters, Ima McDaniel, Shirley Whitt and Patty Lewis.
She is survived by: her son Shawn Persinger (Joy) of Hurricane, WV; her grandchildren, Gregory Sowards (Christy) of Culloden, WV and Jessica Freed (Matthew) of Hurricane, WV; her great grandchildren, Hayley, Xander, Troy, Mason, Lindsey and Mikie; her siblings, Carolyn Stanley of Southside, WV, Debbie Forth of Hurricane, WV, Billy Grant (Mary Jane) and Jimmy Grant of Hurricane, WV; and her close friends, Leon Williams and Mary Young. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapman Funeral Home (3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
