He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Dalton and Nancy Bailey Dalton; and his siblings, John, Maynard, Donald, Preston, Richard Dalton and Lola Coppage.

He is survived by: his siblings, Clara Leona Dalton of Crumpler, Clara Bailey of Chesapeake, VA and Frankie Dalton of Crumpler; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hall Dalton and Wilma Dalton.
