She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Fugitt and Plina Vanhoose Fugitt; her brothers, Edgel, Russel, Thomas, Hubert, Jimmy of Henry and L. D. Fugitt; and her husband Donald Luther Varney.
She is survived by: her sisters, Catherine, Louise, Mary and Dixie; her children, Geoffrey Varney of Catlettsburg, Jason Varney of Crum, Donna Varney of Crum and Anita Proffitt (Pastor Joey) of Paynesville; her grandchildren, Alaina McCartney, Caleb Proffitt, Ryland Varney, Joshua Proffitt, Bronwyn Varney and Eden Varney; and her great grandchild Teddy McCartney.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the East Kermit Church of God (337 US-52, Kermit, WV 25674).
