She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Sanderson and Sarah Sanderson; her husbands, Bennie Royal and Ellis Lambert; her son Ronnie D. Royal; and her siblings, Gerlden Sanderson, Winford Sanderson and John A. Sanderson.

She is survived by: her children, Geraldine Sanderson Goddard (Jim), Alan D. Royal of Lake Lure, Richard D. Royal (Lisa) of Summerville and Michael D. Royal (Lolita) of Titusville, Florida.; her sister Sarah D. Lowery of Cocoa Florida; and her grandchildren, Joshua Royal (Liz), Riley Royal, Renner Royal, Felicia A. Maxwell (Michael), Tabitha L. Betz (Daniel), Joshua Goddard (Christina), Jordan Royal, Ciara Royal, Lacey Royal and Ashley Royal. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
