He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Basil Boggess and Mary Linnie Roach Boggess; his wife Wanda Boggess; his daughter Shirley Hartman; and his siblings, Nellie, Judy, Carol, Catherine, Johnny, Billy, George and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Boggess, Jane Boggess, Margo Napier, Marjorie Strait, Ada Strait, Patricia Strait, Leeman Boggess (Kristina), Joseph Boggess (Shannon Cartwright) and Bobby Strait; and his brother James Boggess (Velma). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
