With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilene Arthra Durham (Cowen, West Virginia), born in Richwood, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 10, 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivory Russell and Glen Staunton Russell of Mills Mountain; her husband James Meekin Durham; and her siblings-in-law, Ray Dodrill, Gene Diaz, Wanda Bennett, Lenora Quinn and Lawrence Cook.
She is survived by: her children, James Durham (Elizabeth), Mary Hinkle (James) and Glenda Kennedy (Dan); her sisters, Maretta Dodrill and Shirley "Pinky" Diaz; her siblings-in-law, Nina Durham Cook and Basil Bennett; her grandchildren, Logan Durham (Cari), Faith Cogar (Tyler), Trace Durham of Gracyn Durham, D. J and Brandon Clark (Brianna); and her great grandchildren, Chad Given, Avery, Cameron Durham, Haley, Zeke Cogar and Reed Clark. She is also survived by friends, and neighbors.
