He is survived by: his mother Barbara Dempsey Mathes; his close friend Jenny Given; his children, Kenneth Mathes Jr. of Cowen, Danielle Francis of Laken, Ryan Mathes of Cowen and Wesley Hice of Camden; his siblings, Junior Mathes of Upperglade, Crystal Mathes of Bolair and Michelle Mathes of Cowen; and his grandchildren, Levi, Jordan, Trenton, Emma, Alivia and Roscoe.
