He was predeceased by: his parents, James Linkous and Barbara Garvin Linkous; and his siblings, Carolyn Potter, Betty McCartney and James Linkous Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Nicole Paugh of Erbacon and Preston Linkous of Huntington; and his siblings, Dora Hamrick, Billy Stephenson, Eugene Stephenson, Mark Linkous and Kenneth Linkous. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and many extended family.
