He was predeceased by : his parents, Gene Edward and Shirley Mae Goff Cox, Sr.. He is survived by : his close friend Misty Carter; and his siblings, William Cox (Cathy), Mike Cox (Debra), Edward Cox (April), Drusilla Anderson (Gary), Christina Lough (Chris) and Laurah Butcher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McFarlane Chapel (2292 Cranberry Ridge Rd, Camden-On-Gauley, WV 26208). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
