He was predeceased by: his parents, Berlin J. Lewis and Dacil Lee Carpenter Lewis; and his siblings, Phyllis Hall, George "Artenus" Lewis, Thurmond Lewis, Walter "Dail" Lewis, Ray and May Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Waugh Lewis; his daughter Charlene Tracy (Jim); his granddaughters, Francheska Nikole Mason and Latisha Ann "Tish" Mason; his great grandchildren, Quentin Via, Denver Lee Via, Bella Fay Varner, Leann Varner, Jessie James Varner and Layla Sue Varner; his siblings, Norlene Frazier, Victor Lewis, Bonnie Bates and Lonnie Lewis; his siblings-in-law, Orpha Koski, Ralph Mullens (Bertha Lee) and Roger Mullens (Carolyn); and his pets, Izzy and Chassie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
