She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Howerton and Fay Tilley Howerton Rose; her brother Larry Howerton; and her stepfather Wilson Rose. She is survived by: her husband Clyde "Grumpy" Elliott, Jr.; her children, Christopher and Tonya Elliott; her granddaughter Amber Monroe of Bluefield; and her siblings, Kenneth Howerton (Janny) of Georgia, Dallas Howerton (Linda) of Kansas, Alice Lawson (J. D.) of Princeton, Billy Howerton of North Carolina, Danny Rose (Ivory) of Itmann and Mary Smith (Aaron) of North Carolina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
