We are sad to announce that on May 29, 2021, at the age of 88, Emmitt Adkins of Cottageville, West Virginia, born in West Hamlin, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Clarine Brewer, Bethel Adkins, Ralph Adkins, Earl Adkins, Darrell Adkins, William Herbert "Oakie" Adkins and Lawrence Adkins; and his parents-in-law, Wilburn and Verda Lucas.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Adkins; his children, Melody Wells (Anthony), Sherri Noble (Joel), Steven Adkins (Amy) and Benita Casto (Jeff); his grandchildren, Marcie (Dan), Michelle (Andrew), Lucas, Joseff, Isabel, Joshua, Eleisha, Tabitha, Joy, Jonathan and Hannah; his great grandchild Charlotte; and his siblings, Ouida Sansom (Ernie), Nina Hazlett, Don Adkins, Larry Adkins (Nellie) and Hubert "Junior" Adkins (Judy). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, and extended family.

Masks and social distancing will be required.
