He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis D. Palmer and Edna Moore Palmer; his wife Doris Lyne Palmer; his daughter Elizabeth Jill Palmer; and his granddaughter Issabella Nadja Palmer.

He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Palmer Richards of Cottageville, WV and Jeff Palmer of Shepperton.
