She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Whitson and Dora Whitson (Eagle); her former husband James Arthur Lawson, Sr.; her husband Russell Warf; her children, Vada June Short and Robert Darnell Lawson; and her siblings, Ruth Anderson, Joyce Whitson, Delores Bennett, Marie Dunford, John D. Whitson, Eugene Whitson and Doug Whitson.
She is survived by: her son James A. Lawson, Jr. (Jackie) of Charleston. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
