He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Clay Tennant and Mary Edna Henderson Tennant; his wife Glenna Tennant; his daughter-in-law Sheryll Tennant; and his siblings, Margaret Jane Stout and Denzil Tennant.
He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Tennant (Kim), Neil Tennant (Carol) and Kevin Tennant; and his sister Rose Marie Malott of Core. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
