He is survived by: his girlfriend Irene Meadows of Cool Ridge; his son Joseph Keith Merricks of Cool Ridge; his brother Joseph Mark Merricks of Wisconsin; his son Neil Weidensall (Mitzi); his grandchildren, Tristan and Van of Beckley; his daughter Heather Shrewsberry (Adam); his grandchildren, Brooke, Bryanna and Braylee of Ghent; his aunt Betty Ganey of Wisconsin; and his niece Megan (Merricks).
