He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Clevenger and Sarah Blakesmith Clevenger; his wife Genevieve; his daughter Charlene; his siblings, Thelma Gainer, Georgia Messerschmidt, Nellie Matheny, Ruth Gilles, Helen Clevenger, Tracy Clevenger, Blair Clevenger, Kenneth Clevenger and John Clevenger; and his sons-in-law, Joe Ennis and Mike Johnston.

He is survived by: his daughters, Roberta Cox (Bill) of Wellsburg, WV, Brenda Clevenger of Dallas, TX, Shelly Johnston of Weirton, WV and Kelly Clevenger; his son-in-law Byron Price of Weirton, WV.; his granddaughters, PJ Kadlic (Scott), Amber Hagg (Michael), Carrie Elliot (Ken), Teri Price and Maria Thomas; his great grandchildren, Gunnar, Ella, Colden, Luc Kadlic, Zoe, Kaleb, Genna, Laina Elliott, Jada, Jia, Dorian Brown and Devin Price; and his great great grandchild Laylani Aikins.
