It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Steve Hatfield of Coal Mountain, West Virginia, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hatfield and Florence Hatfield (Poe); and his brothers, Rodney and Edward Hatfield. He is survived by: his wife Polly Hatfield (Brown); and his brothers, William "Buddy" Hatfield (Patricia) of Tyler, AL, Glenn Hatfield (Linda) of Simon, WV, Ricky of Coal Mtn, WV, Frankie Hatfield of Coal Mtn, WV and Richard Hatfield of Knoxville, TN.. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel Mounts Funeral Home (253 4th Ave, Gilbert, WV 25621). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
