She was predeceased by: her mother Adgie Humphrey; her stepfather Howard Humphrey; her former husband Lonnie Bowe, Jr.; and her husband Fred Underwood. She is survived by: her children, Lonnie Bowe III (Ruth), Randy Underwood (Beverly), Rex Underwood (Dorothy) and Norma Newell (Mark). She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
