He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mack Hutchens and Maudie Ellen Waddell Hutchens; his daughter Beth Roark; his siblings, Bill Hutchens, Ellen Meeks, Ervin Hutchens, Earl Hutchens, Mary Goodwin and Buster Farley; his grandchildren, Christopher Gravley and Sarah Gravley; and his great grandchild Nathaniel Gravley.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Caudill Hutchens; his children, Bobbie Gravley (Gary) of Oak Hill and Rosalie Hutchens of Daniels; his son-in-law Johnny Roark of Jonben, WV; and his grandchildren, Jason Gravley, Jennifer Jennings, Daniel Gravley, Amy Keel, Shane Roark, Angela Hall, Heather Watson and Greg Mitchem. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
