He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Goodrich Bowe and Bertha Blanche Vaughn Bowe; and his siblings, William Dare Bowe, Raymond Alton Bowe and Doris Jean Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald Dee Bowe II (Jeanie), Camille Smith (Darrell) and Sandra Jean Moore (Randy); his brother David Paul Bowe; and his grandchildren, Jean Pritt, Dee Bowe III, April Moore, Misty Yeager, Matthew Smith, Jennifer Pitts and Andrew Smith. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
