He is survived by: his wife Brig Gen Paige Parish (Ret); his son Ryan Hunter (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Catey and Colin of Cranberry Township, PA; his son Chris Hunter (Janelle); his grandsons, Landon and Blake of Land; and his sister Patricia "Pat" Fields of Clendenin, WV..
