She was predeceased by: her parents, James Blane and Thelma Jean Meadows Godbey; her husband Donald R. Brisendine; and her siblings, Roy Godbey, Kermit Godbey, Linda Godbey and Glenda Smith.

She is survived by: her son Gregory Godbey; her sister Rosalee Godbey; and her grandsons, Gregory Blane Godbey and Edward Blake III.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Payne Cemetery.
