He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Mae White Summers and Patric Ira Summers; his wife Betty H. Summers; his daughter Linda Lou Truman; and his siblings, Arnold, Ronald, Oral, Elbert Summers and Lola Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Summers, Paul C. Truman, Robin Best, Beverly Burdette, Rhonda Duffield, Anita Truman, Rachel Truman Austin and Misty Goodwin; and his siblings, James Summers, Norma Calcamp and Charlotte Jett. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
