He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert James and Edna Grace Barnes Watson; and his siblings, James, Frank Watson, Kathleen Langston and Carol McNemar.

He is survived by: his wife Cherry Watson; his daughter Misty Hurd (Kenneth); and his stepdaughters, Sheena Short (Eric) and Marisa Parsons. He is also survived by several grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
