He is survived by: his children, Walter Joseph Lanham (Angela) of Bridgeport and Jan Lanham McNemar of Nutter Fort; his grandchildren, Johanna V. Garrett, Nick Tucker of Kannapolis, Jennifer N. McNemar of Morgantown and Nathan J. Lanham of Bridgeport; and his great grandchildren, Kali F. Brown and Hudson R. Tucker.
