He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Sheets and Ada Davis Sheets; his wife Janet Sheets (Laughlin); his half-sister Judith Sheets; and his stepmother Betty Sheets.
He is survived by: his close friend Becky Cropp; his daughters, Amy Lamm (Jay) of Bridgeport, WV and Jennifer Long (Chris) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Matthew Long, Harrison Long, Allie Sayre (Brandon), Rachel Scott (Nate) and Nick Lamm; his great grandchild Lenna Sayre; and his caregivers, Anna, Nichole, Michelle, Bonnie and Yvonne.
