He was predeceased by: his mother Nancy Louise Allen (Flint); and his brother Bryan Scott Dalton. He is survived by: his father Francis Eugene "Gene" Allen, Sr.; his wife Cinda Allen (Nichols); his daughters, Sara Allen and Amanda Allen Ingram (Tommy); his siblings, Elizabeth Meade and Francis Eugene Allen, Jr. of Bridgeport; and his pets, Oakley, Xena and Sammy.
