She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Grey Pender and Rowena Sawyer Carter Pender; her children, Joy Charlene Singleton, Carl Jerome Singleton and Charles Walter Singleton II; and her siblings, Ralph Carter, Ray Carter, Kenneth Pender, Fred Jr. Carter, Rowena Carter, Vivian Clark and Odetha Kenney.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Walter Singleton I; her children, Jan Charmaine Singleton of Morgantown, Craig Wayne Singleton of Clarksburg and Christopher Jerrard Singleton (Antoinette) of Clarksburg; and her sister Gwendolyn Carter. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
