He is survived by: his children, Michael Eric Hughes (Michelle) of Iona, ID and Elizabeth Earlyne Hughes (William Bart Naselrotte) of Carolina, WV; his grandchildren, Jarad Morgan, Haily, Madison, Michael J. Hughes, Alexis Raylyne and Kayla Isabelle Thorogood; his great grandchildren, Jedidah Morgan and Bethel Joy Morgan; and his siblings, Kaaran Reed, Anita Erskine, Brian Hughes, Teresa Wisendanger, Charles Hughes and Cece Hughes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
