He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. "Pete" Davis Sr. and Margaret Davis (Bland); and his siblings, Nancy Davis, Sheila Davis, Jim Davis, Howard Davis and Shirley Potts.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara J. Cain (Raymond) of Clarksburg, George W. Davis III (Susan Williams) of Parkersburg, Emma Davis of Clarksburg and Catherine M. Ash (Jasper Stull) of Clarksburg; his siblings, Mike Davis of Salem and Ginnie Bland of Salem; his grandchildren, Mercedes Harte (Thomas), Natasha Cain, Jazalynn Ray, Amariah Cain, Rayonna Cain, Izabella Cain, Gillian Ray, Addison Davis, Jayda Ash, Jaycent Ash, Lilliana Ash, Haleigha Ash and Ceralynn Ash; and his close friend Elizabeth Cain. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and great grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Va Park.
