With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Roland Swoger of Clarksburg, West Virginia, who passed away on February 26, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Swoger and Florence Markle Swoger; his siblings, Florence Swoger Ritzer, Patricia Swoger Gibson and John "Jack" Swoger; and his daughter-in-law Marcia Chandler Swoger.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Swoger (Bethany) of Clarksburg and Tim Swoger of Woodstock, GA; his grandchildren, Carrie Smith of Woodstock, GA and Josh Swoger (Courtney) of Kennesaw, GA; his great grandchildren, Kinson and Evelyn; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Swoger of Wheeling, Carol Smith of Hepzibah, Beverly Fultineer (Roy) of Charleston and Jesse Garold Smith of Bridgeport.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301).
