She was predeceased by: her parents, George S. Haggerty and Ila Bard Haggerty (Kelley); her husband Robert Carl Newlon; her siblings, Lloyd Calvin Haggerty, Bernard E. Haggerty, Geraldine "Jerri" Haggerty Gainer and Laura Furbee; her nephew Brooks Gainer (Suzanne); her great grandchild Gavin Scalise; and her pet Babydoll.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Carleene Hartman (Harry), Barbara Jane Hartley (Randy) and Randall Paul Newlon (Mary); her grandchildren, Gregory Scott Scalise (Wendy), Celeste Dawn Newlon Gumbus (Charles), Courtney Jo Newlon Preto (Pat), Elaina Brooke Newlon Clevenger (Zack), Adam Randall Newlon, Nicole Newlon Zimmerman (Scott Fetters), Aimee Collene Newlon, Garrett, Gatlin, Kelley Danielle Hartley Swiger (Brody Northcraft) and Jeffrey Randal Hartley (Mary Lemine); her great grandchildren, Grant Scalise, Rylee Collins, William Zane Hoyt, Ava Grace Zimmerman, Gabriella "Ella" Zimmerman, Arianna "Ari" Zimmerman, Holden Newlon, Aubrey Jane Swiger, Zoe, Eliza Preto, Presley Stein Cunningham (Tyler) and Cole Stein (Sara); her great great grandchildren, Elaine and Claire Cunningham; her close friends, Edith Major (Arizona), Mary Ellen Fletcher Bolovan (Indiana), Bill and Jane Davis Weida (Wisconsin) of Hacker's Creek Pioneer Descendants; and also Shelby Gainer (Abby Weber). She is also survived by several nieces/nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
