With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Desiree McElwayne Carpenter of Clarksburg, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2024 at the age of 49. For Desiree is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jimmy" Larry Carpenter, Jr.. She is survived by: her parents, Jackie Lee McElwayne Sr. and Nancy Mae Snider McElwayne of Clarksville, TN.; her children, Amber Michelle Smith (Sean), James "Bub" Carpenter, III and Stonewood Stonewood (Alana Cosenza); her grandson Aaron McElwayne; her siblings, Teresa Wenrich of Clarksville, TN, Karen R Debusk (Pete) of Inverness, FL and Jackie Lee McElwayne Jr. (Karla) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and her niece Paige Carpenter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
