He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard R. Riddle and Annalee Hurst Riddle. He is survived by: his children, Kristyn Nicole Riddle (Alex Cunningham) of Florida, David Michael Riddle, II of Seattle, Travis Wayne Riddle (Casey Helmick) of Clarksburg, Jack Stout (Tonya) of Wheeling, WV and Julia Stout of Clarksburg; his wife Betty Wilson Riddle; his granddaughter Emma Grace McElwain of Florida; his brothers, Steven C. Riddle (Loretta) of Hamilton, OH and Kevin S. Riddle (Caitlin) of Clarksburg; his friends, Rev. Rita R. Robinson of Shinnston and Danny Sears (Nancy) of Buckhannon; and his mother-in-law Kathie Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Though Early-Onset Alzheimer's took a lot from Dave, including the memory of his family, the disease did not have the strength to take away his sense of humor, contagious laugh or his huge smile that could light up a room. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to start a memorial fund in Dave's memory to benefit the residents of the WV Veterans Nursing Facility.
