He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lee and Ruth Pauline Paxton Adkins; his wife Pamela Ann Mooney Adkins; and his siblings, Nancy Martin, Charles Adkins, Betty Adkins and William Lee Adkins.
He is survived by: his children, Steve "Randy" Nester of Hurricane, WV, Phyllis "Jeannie" Flint (Tommy) of Clarksburg and April Martin of New Castle, MD; his grandchildren, Kevin Nester, Jonathan Flint, Brittany Martin, Kaitlin Moore (David), Logan Nester, Lindsey Nester and Tiffany Flint; and his siblings, Sharon Burke of Clendenin and David Adkins. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
