Betty Lee Carmichael Nixon Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2025, at the age of 89, Betty Lee Carmichael Nixon of Clarksburg, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur V. Carmichael and Mary Carmichael; her former husband Ulysses Kesling; her sons, Donald and David Kesling; her grandparents, Archie, Eve Carmichael and Betty; her brother Wilbur V. "Sonny" Carmichael, III; and also Billy Nixon.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Kesling of Clarksburg, Sue Benedum (Leslie) of Durbin and Steve Nixon of Clarksburg; her grandchildren, Jennifer Biesczad (Jason Wyne), Jamey Biesczad (Amanda), Dustin Nixon (Maddy) and Mackenzie Elwood; her great grandchildren, Chance Wyne, Harmony Charlie, Deegan Elwood and Isabella Biesczad; her siblings, Sharon Ann Carmichael of Wilsonburg, Rodney Carmichael of Wilsonburg, Ricky and Randy Carmichael; and her son-in-law Ronald Biesczad.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wv National Cemetery (42 Veterans Memorial Ln, Grafton, WV 26354). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301).
