He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Arbogast and Eva Arbogast (Simmons); his wife Bettie Ruth Arbogast (Vance); his siblings, David Arbogast, Price Arbogast, Paul Arbogast, Nila Good, Irma Propst-Day and Mary Judy Harper; and his son-in-law Robert Zirkle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Zirkle Moyer (David) of Broadway, VA, Caron Warner (Carl) of Circleville, WV and Joyce Helman (Larry) of Moorefield, WV; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Zirkle (Kelly), Rebecca Zirkle Reid (Aaron), Dawn Warner Halterman (Mark), Wendy Warner Colaw (Jeremy), Jodie Warner Wimer (Matt), Tara Barkley Cook (Robert) and Elisha Barkley Shreve (Jesse). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and 6 step great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
