He was predeceased by: his wife Connie L. Hanlin; and his brother John Hanlin. He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Carnell and Loretta Reel of New Creek, WV.; his children, James Hanlin of Anchorage, AK, Michael Hanlin of Clarksburg, WV, Pamela Bowen of Jonesboro, AR and Heather Hanlin-Grogg of Winston-Salem, NC.; and his grandchildren, Jesse Hanlin, Joshua Hanlin, Noah Hanlin, Chance Bowen, Chloe Bowen, Aden Morton and Ella Morton.
