He is survived by: his wife Merry "Maggie" Lightner Smith; his children, Brenda Williams, Crystal Price (Kent), Byron "Sonny" Smith (Kathy), Ken Reckner (Christy Smith), Becky Williams (Chuck Wehr) and John Reckner (Angela); his grandchildren, Jake Ash (Alicia), Tabitha Leonard (Doug), Dalton Ash, Aaron Smith, Austin Smith, Kelly Blinkman (Michael), Kalie Tichnell, Christina Collett, Nathan Reckner, Emily Reckner, Ayden Reckner, Macie Reckner, Jessica Metcalf, Caitlyn Williams, Trevor Williams and Carson Williams; his great grandchildren, Sofie, Adeline and Gabe; and his sisters, Sheila Michaels (Michael), Dorothy Rhodes and Georgia Moore (Jerry).
