He is survived by: his wife Amy Conkle Thomas; his daughters, Lindsy Thomas (Gage Yedlosky) of Grandville, WV., Rachel Thomas of Georgetown and Natalie Thomas (Shane Lewis) of Hopewell; his grandchildren, Lauren Harper Cox, John Samuel "Sammy" Cox and Kalani Mae Lewis; his sisters, Dianne Adebonojo of Philadelphia and Lisa Cooper (Ed) of Macon, GA.; his nieces and nephews, Mackie Cooper, Kayla Bivins, Alaina Reiser, Justin Gourley, Brandon Gourley, Destiny Adebonojo and TJ Adebonojo; and his goddaughter Kathryn Rhetorik.
