He was predeceased by: his parents, Cresenciano Chavez and Ernestina Cruze Chavez. He is survived by: his wife Carol Carson Chavez; his daughters, Dawn McElfresh (Michael) of Chester, Nicole Murphy of Wellsville and Abagail Chavez (Damion Kernen) of Follansbee; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Thomas Brianna Donahee (Cody Heath) and Autumn Donahee; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Kernen and Roman Kernen.
