He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward V. Rand and Pearl V. Dys Rand; and his sister Patricia Ranallo. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Rand (Beth) of Toronto and Holly Gear of Toronto; his grandchildren, Kyrin, Quinton, David, George, Christopher and Ava Rand; his sister Christine Williams of Chicago, IL.; and his close friend Pamela Harman of Chester.
