It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ray (Chester, West Virginia), born in Branchland, West Virginia, who passed away on October 13, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza Adkins and Opal Cummings Adkins; and her husband Wattie R. Ray. She is survived by: her daughter Jean Wong (Hubie) of Charlotte, NC.; her sisters, Dean Davis of Kernersville, NC., Mary Bevington of Charlottesville, NC. and Sue; and her pets, Tucker and Bohdy. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
