He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest R. Comer and Rillie Comer; his wife Elenora Comer; his son Steve Comer; his siblings, Freda Gay (James), Christine Simpson (Roy), Ernestine Toney (John), Thelma Pauley (Blair), Joseph Comer (Mary Jo), Tim Comer (Sharon), Ladora Comer and John Comer; his great grandchild Destiny Bailey; and his close friend Phyllis Gunnoe.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Virginia Comer (Steve); his daughter Debbie Houck (Dick); his grandchildren, Shelly Comer (Robbie), Jeremy Comer (Rosie), Mandee Wilson (Lenny) and Jessica Pipkin (Mark); his great grandchildren, Tori Bailey (Cody), Caden Comer (Abbigail), Taylor Pipkin and Kenna Pipkin; and his great great grandchildren, Denver Jett Campbell and Ezra Joe Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
