He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Theodore Thaxton and Antoinette Chenowith Williams Thaxton; his sister Linda Lee Thaxton McDade; and his son Timothy Neal Peters. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his sons, Jeffrey Allen Peters (Michelle) of Charlotte, NC, William Franklin Thaxton III (Tomoko) of Charlotte, NC, Robert Alan Thaxton of Charlotte, NC and James Edward Thaxton of Myrtle Beach, SC.; and his siblings, Archie Edward Thaxton (Cindy) of Woodlawn, John Michael Thaxton (Donna) of Sissonville, WV, Kathy Thaxton Isner of Hurricane, WV. and Tony Easley of Charleston. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
